A PURPOSEFUL LIFE; NEW TESTAMENT STORIES

NOT WORTHY OF ATTENTION D PART VI

"I, Jesus, have come to Jericho today... I have not come here because I decided it would be nice to see what Jericho is like... No, I have come here because I knew there was a person I wanted to meet.... His name is Zacchaeus... He is a tax collector.... That means he is wealthy.... But that means too he will not be liked by the citizens in Jericho.... Consequently, I know he is a lonely man..... I know too that he is a son of Abraham... And I have come to seek and save those who are lost.... Zacchaeus was lost.....But he is no longer lost.... Today I found him hiding in  a sycamore-fig tree.....However, I told him to come down because I wanted to spend time with him....I know that he could not believe his ears.... But he did come down from that tree....And he took Me to his home.... Everyone who saw us walking to his home was shocked....They did not like what I did.... But they will find out that My visit to Zacchaeus' home has caused him to become a changed man..... Salvation has now come to his home.... And as a consequence, Zacchaeus will be a blessing to his community.".... Please read the typed out attachment when you will learn that Jesus' visit to Zacchaeus' home has brought salvation to his home....

NOT WORTHY OF ATTENTION D PART VI

The reason for Jesus' visit to Jericho is to touch the heart and life of this one man Zacchaeus as you can read in Luke 19:9-10

Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house because this man too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost."

The reason Jesus has come is to save lives, including the life of Zacchaeus, as you can read in John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus' visit to Zacchaeus' home caused him to become a transformed man. And his transformation was so real that he became a blessing to his community.
