A WALK THROUGH THE BOOK OF ACTS

                       PART XXVI - X

"Governor Festus stood up... He was with me, Paul, and King Agrippa in the audition room at the palace in Caesarea.... It seems he did not quite know what to do with what I had shared with King Agrippa.... He seemed to think I was out of my mind... I knew that was not the case... On the contrary... I was in full control of my mind.... Because I was greatly helped by the Spirit of God... So I explained to Governor Festus that what I had been saying was true and reasonable... Even if he could not see it... I made sure I spoke to Governor Festus in an appropriate manner... After all, he is the Governor....And I am only a prisoner....I then began to speak to Governor Festus about King Agrippa ....For I expected the King to know all that had happened.... Because it had not been done in secret."... Please read the typed out attachment when you will learn of Governor Festus's unexpected outburst and Paul's dignified response...

                                                          PART XXVI - X

At that moment Governor Festus, who was in the audition room at the palace in Caesarea. spoke up as you can read in Acs 26 : 24

"You are out of your mind, Paul!" he shouted. "Your great learning is driving you insane."

However, Paul knew that he was not insane. One the contrary, he was possibly one of the sanest people in  that room that day as you can read in Acts 26:25

"I am not insane, most excellent Festus," Paul replied. "What I am saying is true and reasonable."

Paul, while defending himself, made sure he addressed Governor Festus in a proper manner as befitting his position as Governor. He then continued speaking to Governor Festus but speaking about King Agrippa as you can read in Acts 26:26-27

"The King is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this escaped his notice because it was not done in a corner."

Paul wanted to make sure that he addressed King Agrippa as well.
